I actually used University of Michigan as my safetyApr 16 2008Undecided
I actually used University of Michigan as my safety...so I got into the honors college 2.5 weeks after I applied in the fall. I had a 2230 SAT, 4.0 GPA, leadership positions and awards and stuff (no sports, however). I was out of state, so when I told people that it was my safety, THEY GOT MAD!!! After more research, I found my former arrogance to be invalid. This a great university with amazing resources. I suggest you work hard in high school, do well on your sat's, especially since it's getting harder and harder to get into...
SAT: 2230 Female
High test scores, good grades,Feb 12 2007Psychology
High test scores, good grades, extracurriculars...Michigan is a top school, so the usual stuff
ACT: 33 Female
Its michigan, everyone here was top in their class,Dec 14 2006Undecided
its michigan, everyone here was top in their class, involved in extracurricular activities and community service. Use your admissions essay as a way to set yourself apart.
ACT: 27 Female
It's not that hard to get into the UApr 19 2006Electrical Engineering
It's not that hard to get into the U of M especially if you apply early. A lot of Ivy-rejects or people who got a lot of money(scholarship)....a lot of engineering or actuarial math international students or dumb football players come here.
SAT: 1400 Female
Work hard in high school but have some fun tooApr 01 2006Business - Management and Administration
Work hard in high school but have some fun too. A 4.00 with tons and tons of extracurriculars probably does not look as appealing to the school as an applicant with a 3.8 GPA who was very active in a couple EC programs.
SAT: 1290 Male
